Lyle S Witherwax (57287571), lived in WA and OR Married second, May 8 1969 Ord, Valley, NE, Adolph John Kokes ------------------------------------------ Mary Kokes Rites Here Mary Kokes was born September 9, 1904 in Garfield County, Nebraska, to Joseph and Mary Hosticka Hulinsky and died June 2, 1986 at the Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney at the age of 81. Mary was raised and attended rural schools in Garfield County. On October 25, 1921, Mary was married to Rudolph J. Blaha at Burwell. They farmed in Valley county in the Sand Flats area northeast of Ord and later farmed west of Ord. They moved into Ord in 1945 where they worked at various jobs and retired in 1959. Rudolph died November 26, 1963, and Mary continued to make her home in Ord. She was later married to Adolph Kokes, May 8, 1969 at Ord. They made their home on a farm between North Loup and Ord. Adolph died April 24, 1980. Mary then moved to Kearney and for the past four years resided at St. John's Nursing Home in Kearney. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one son, Richard Blaha of Kearney; one daughter, Alice Witherwax of The Dalles, OR; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lillian Howell and Alberta Pokorney, both of Ord, Barbara Sample of Burwell, Rose Urban of Sargent, and Agnes Els of Ashland.
