Ester (Best) Lee, of Omak, died Wednesday, July 12, 1995, n Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak. She was born March 12, 1915, to Arthur and Lillian (Brady) Best Sr at Synarep. She was raised in Tonasket and Nespellem and later moved to Omak. She also lived in Pateros, Cashmere and Grandview before moving to San Francisco, California, where she lived for 10 years. She moved back to Omak about 20 years ago. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Okanogan Eagles, the Colville Confederated Tribes and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, George Huckins of Omak; four brothers, Joe and Abraham "Link" both of Omak, James of Kartar and Albert of Disautel; two sisters, Mary McGowan of Okanogan and Frances Crossland of Brewster; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Rosary for Esther (Best) Lee were held on Thursday, July 13, 1995, at Barnes Elmway Chapel with Fr. Bob Erickson, presider. Mass of the Christian Burial were Friday, July 14, 1995, at St. Mary's Mission Catholic Church with Fr. Bob Erickson, presider. Concluding services will be at St. Mary's Mission Cemetery.
