The Schuyler Sun, October 4, 1979, p. 7A, col. 4 Agnes Svoboda buried Wednesday Funeral service for Agnes Svoboda, 72, was held Wednesday at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Abie. Rev. Stanley Schieffer officiated at the 10 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection and burial in the parish cemetery. Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the Svoboda Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ward and Edmund Svoboda, Charles Jr., Milo and Leonard Palensky and Richard Shimerka. Miss Svoboda died Saturday night at Memorial Hospital. The daughter of Peter F. and Agnes Roh Svoboda, she was born June 25, 1907 in Saunders County and attended Prague and Wahoo Catholic Schools. She had lived in Schuyler since 1922. Survivors include two sisters, (Anna) Mrs. Charles Palensky, Wahoo; (Clara) Mrs. Vince Shimerka, Prague; two brothers, Jim, Prague; and Ed, Schuyler. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
