Biography by Jeanne Pritchett (#46990964): Josef and Anna Shalon, with their son John, immigrated to the U.S. from their home in Pilzen, Bohemia in 1871 and settled on a farmstead near Nimburg, Nebr. They lived in a dugout for many years. They had children: John, James, Mary, Anna, Joseph, Antonia, and Agnes.
