She died June 9, 1973 at East Orange, New Jersey. '''''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), January 2, 1913, p. 6, col. 3 & 4 Bruno James Spatz, Sr., died at his home southeast of Bruno on Wednesday, Dec. 25, after illness of several months with cancer. The funeral services were held in St. Anthony's church here at 11 o'clock Friday morning. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Spatz is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. W. Watson of Fremont, Mrs. Joseph Sobolik of Bruno and Miss Agnes of Newark, New Jersey, and three sons, Anton and James of Abie and Frank of Cedar Bluffs. All were present at the funeral except Miss Agnes, who was ill and unable to undertake so long a journey. Mr. Spatz was 69 years of age.
