Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), October 11, 1934, p. 1, col. 7 MRS. F. HLADKY PASSED ON. Bruno Resident Died October 7 After Illness of a Month. Bruno, Oct. 9 – Mrs. Frances Hladky, aged 82 years, 10 months and 24 days, died at Hastings hospital Tuesday, Oct. 2, from a stroke of paralysis, having been ill the past month. Funeral services were held at 10 o’clock a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, from the home of Mrs. Hladky’s son, Anton, to the Bruno Catholic church, of which Mrs. Hladky was a faithful member. Rev. Father Kvitek conducted the services. Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Hladky, namely, Thomas, Joseph, James, Jr., and Lewis Hladky, Frankie Extein and Vincent Rolenc. Burial was in the Bruno cemetery. In attendance at the funeral from elsewhere were Frank Hladky of Central City, Joseph Hladky and family from Seward and Mrs. Mary Extein and family from Linwood. Frances Maiteck was born in Moravia December 26, 1852. She was married there to John Hladky, who survives her, as do also five sons, three daughters, 39 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. The sons and daughters are Joseph of Seward, Frank of Central City, John of Abie, Anton of David City, Lewis of Brainard, Mary Extein of Linwood, Sophie Rolenc of Abie and Anna Sloup of Rising City.
