According to the 1880 and 1885 census records she was born in Moravia and farmed in Skull Creek township, Butler County, Nebr. with her husband and sons. The 1900 census states she was born March 1838 in Bohemia, had been married 32 years, emigrated to the United States in 1874, and was the mother of two children, both living. At that time she and her husband had retired from farming but continued to live in Skull Creek township.
