The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), November 25, 1965, p. 7, col. 1 & 2 Services Held Nov. 15 for Joseph J. Kozisek Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 15, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Brainard, for Joseph J. Kozisek, 77, who died suddenly at his home, Nov. 12. Pallbearers were Alfred Kozisek, Alex Kozisek, LaVern Kozisek, Wilfred Kozisek, Jerald Voboril and Denis Vrbka, all nephews. Joseph J. Kozisek, the son of George and Josephine Yindrick Kozisek, was born Aug. 1, 1888, at Bruno. He married Bessie Proskovec. One son was born to this union. Later he was married to Albina Rolenc at Brainard. One daughter was born to this union. Surviving are his wife, Albina; one daughter, Mrs. Miles (Arlene) Andel; five brothers, Charles E. and James of Bruno, Louis and Fred of David City and Frank of Utica; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Samek of Dwight and Mrs. Jerald Voboril of Abie. Preceding him in death were his wife, Bessie, and infant son, Ernest, one brother, William, his mother and father.
