The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), April 5, 1979, p. 21, col. 2 & 3 Albina P. Kozisek rites held Saturday Funeral services for Albina P. Kozisek, 86, of Bruno, were conducted Saturday morning, March 31, from Assumption Catholic Church (Appleton) David City. Mrs. Kozisek died Thursday, March 29, at Archbishop Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, following a two-week illness. Rev. Rudy Oborny officiated at the services. Music was furnished by the Assumption choir accompanied by Mrs. Frank Curda, organist. Pallbearers were Denis Vrbka, Ernest Andel, Harold Kozisek, Alfred Kozisek, LaVerne Kozisek and William Voboril. Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Abie. Albina P., the daughter of Frank and Marie Pavel Rolenc, was born March 20, 1893, in the Appleton area. On Feb. 9, 1927, she was united in mariage to Joseph J. Kozisek at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Brainard, by the late Msgr. Alois J. Klein. One daughter, Arlene, was born to this union. Her family moved to Brainard in 1901, moving in 1907 back to David City where she attended St. Mary's Grade School and David City High School. During thist ime she was an organist in St. Mary's Church for several years. In 1915 they moved back to a farm west of Brainard. Following the death of her husband, she made her home with her son-in-law and daughter. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the PCCW. Survivors include her son-in-law and daughter, Miles and Arlene Andel of Bruno; one brother, Vincent Rolenc of Brainard; one sister, Mrs. John R. (Helena) Vrbka of Brainard; and four grandchildren, Karen, Candace, Carmen and Kevin Andel. Her parents, husband Joseph, who died in 1965, and one brother, Joseph Rolenc, preceded her in death.
