Grand Island Daily Independent Tuesday 10 June 1947 Mrs. Vanosdall Taken By Death Mrs. Theodore Vanosdall, 42, died this morning in a local hospital after an illness of three weeks. Survivors are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Sam Kraning, Grand Island; three sons, Emil and Clements Ziola, both of Grand Island and Floyd Ziola, U. S. Navy, now home on furlough; five step-sons, John, Glenn, David, Edward and Wayne Vanosdall, all of Grand Island; three step-daughters, Mrs. Leah Lorance and Miss Patricia Vanosdall, Grand Island, and Mrs. Marie Lassen, Elba; two grandchildren, and other relatives. Funeral services will be announced later, pending word from relatives. The Geddes funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Grand Island Daily Independent Wednesday 11 June 1947 Vanosdall Rites To Be Held Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Theodore Vanosdall will be held Friday morning at 9:30 in St. Mary's cathedral. The Rev. Carl Hayden, assistant pastor, will celebrate the requiem mass, and burial will be in the Grand Island cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tomorrow evening in the Geddes funeral home. Grand Island Daily Independent Friday 13 June 1947 Vanosdall Rites Held Here today Funeral services for Mrs. Theodore Vanosdall were held this morning at St. Mary's cathedral. The Rev. Carl Hayden, assistant pastor, celebrated the requiem mass. Pallbearers were Dale Lorence, Bruce Lorance, Charles Gillham, Gus Meyer, Alfred Zimbelman and Jack Mahoney. Burial was in the Grand Island cemetery. Present from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Krank Krakowski and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Slobewski, Rockwell; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Slobewski, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Curtis, Ogallala; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Slobewski, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rewolinski and Steven Jarotowski, all of Ashton.
