Houston Chronicle, November 6, 2005: Max Earl Brod, age 71, of Wharton and a former resident of Houston, died Friday, Nov. 4th, at his residence. He was a retired Allstate Insurance Agent in Houston. Funeral services 10:00 am Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at the Wharton Funeral Home. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton. Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm Sunday, Nov. 6th. Survivors, wife Bobbie Brod of Wharton; daughters, Teri Penrose of San Antonio, Nancy Wass of Brighton, CO, and Linda Brod of Wharton; sons, Kyle R. Brod of Tomball and Scott James of Navasota; sisters, Hazel McFarland of Caldwell and Dorothy Wofford of Missouri City ; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Memorials, Hospice Support Inc., P.O.
