A Farmer and Livestock feeder with his father and on his own. Charles E Cooley of Morrill died in an automobile accident north of Henry, Nebraska Monday evening, October 11, 1976 at the age of 38 years, 10 months and 2 days. He was born December 9, 1937 in Scottsbluff, the son of Howard and Eva Cooley. He received his early education in the Victory Hill School, graduated from the Mitchell High School, and attended the University of Wyoming at Laramie. He married Charlotte Lashley on December 1, 1957 and they have lived in the Morrill area since that time where he was a farmer-feeder. Charles was a member of the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Mitchell; I.O.O.F. lodge No. 259 of Mitchell and Scottsbluff Elks Lodge No. 1367. Surviving in addition to his wife Charlotte, are 2 daughters, Christine of Laramie, Wyoming and Cathleen at home; a son, Charles Howard at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cooley of Morrill; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mervyn (Marilyn) Gompert of Mitchell and Mrs. Victor (Dorothy) Bauer of Morrill. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2;00 p.m. in the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Mitchell with the Rev. Lloyd Metheny officiating.
