Born in the village of Klucov, town of Hrotovice, county of Znojmo, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). Married Anna Hajek on February 25, 1884 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Abie, Nebr. ''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), February 3, 1927, p. 8, col. 3 Abie James Sobotka, who had been sick for some time and lately was in the Prague hospital, died Sunday, Jan. 30. He was 66 years old. Funeral services were held in Sts. Peter's and Paul's Catholic church Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Sobotka is survived by one son, Frank Sobotka and six daughters, Mrs. Henry Semrad, Mrs. Joseph Semrad, Mrs. Louis Sklenar and Mrs. James Stuchl, Jr. of Abie, and Mrs. Frank Vidlak and Mrs. Joe Vidlak of Fremont. Mrs. Sobotka died eight months ago.
