Born in the village of Adamov, county of Caslav, Bohemia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). According to the 1885 census he was 36 years old, born Bohemia, and farmed in Linwood township, Butler County, Nebr. with his wife Anna and children Barbara and John. In 1900 he was born July 1850 in Bohemia, emigrated to the United States in 1881, had been married twenty years, and farmed in Chester precinct, Saunders County with his wife Anna and seven children Barbra, John, Edward, Emma, Christy, James, William, and Anna. The funeral was held Wednesday from the residence and the remains interred in the Catholic cemetery at Abie.
