''''''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), March 20, 1924, p. 6, col. 5 Abie Mrs. Anna Polacek passed away at the home of her son, Edward, east of Abie, on Wednesday, March 12, at an advanced age. Death was due to cancer of the stomach. Funeral services were held in the Catholic church at Abie on Friday morning, March 14. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Polacek is survived by four sons and five daughters. The sons are John and James of Brainard, Joseph of Tamora and Edward of Abie. The daughters are Mrs. Louis Brecka and Mrs. Adolf Humlicek of Abie, Mrs. John Tomek, living near Prague, Mrs. Martin Styskal of Wahoo and Mrs. George Humlicek of Tamora. Mrs. Polacek is survived also by 23 grandchildren. Coming from elsewhere, besides the children to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Humlicek and babes from Ulysses, Mrs. John Humlicek of Brainard, Mrs. Charles Woita and Miss Marie Woita of Weston and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brecka and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Brecka from near Prague.
