Daughter of Jim Pettit, Mary Jane Mcginty Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Feb. 25, 1967 Mrs. Mary Hunter Rites Are Held Funeral services here held Sunday at the Saturn cemetery for Mrs. Mary Ann Hunter, who died Saturday in the Llano Memorial hospital at the age of 75. Prior to the graveside rites services were held from the Buffington Funeral Home in Yoakum with the Rev. Bill Armstrong officiating. She was born in Waelder area on January 3, 1892, the only daughter of Jim and Mary Jane Pettit, and lived most of her life in Gonzales county. She was married in 1917 to Lonnie Boone Hunter, and was a member of the Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her husband in July, 1944, and a son, Arthur, who was killed in World War II. Survivors include four sons, Marcellus Hunter of Gonzales; Delbert Hunter of Fort Worth; Cecil Hunter of Kermit; Jolly B.Hunter of Llano; three daughters, Mrs Joy Hendershot, Pearsall; Mrs. Hazel Pits, Houston; and Mrs. Daisy Mueter, LaGrange; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
