'''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), December 28, 1911, p. 8, col. 4 Linwood Mrs. Barbara Komarek, one of the early settlers here, died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Macholan. She was 78 years of age. She and her husband came to the United States in 1880, settling in Butler county. Her husband died 18 months ago. The funeral of Mrs. Komarek took place on Thursday, Dec. 21, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Macholan, Rev. Father Nemec conducting the servies. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery near Abie.
