Bio
Mrs. Martha Franssen, a well known resident of St. Libory, passed away at her home one mile north of that place on yesterday morning at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn her loss five sons and two daughters, her husband having preceded her in death some time ago. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Catholic church at St. Libory. Interment will be made in the St. Libory cemetery. Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Saturday, 27 January 1917 Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Tuesday, 30 January 1917 "Briefs From All Around the County - St. Libory" Mrs. Martha Franssen passed away Friday at 2 p.m. at the home of her son, J. J. Franssen, after an illness of about a week. She was one of the oldest settlers of St. Libory and had passed the 73rd year mark. She leaves to mourn her loss the following children: Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Gerdes, John, Henry, Will, Herman and Joe Franssen and Mrs. Anna Behnnen. The funeral took place on Monday morning from the St. Libory church.
