Bio

He was the son of William A. Chatham and Nettie Neo Hunt. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp in April 1942 during World War Two. He eventually rose to the rank of Sergeant and worked as an aircraft mechanic in the 34th Airdrome Squadron while stationed in the South Phillipines. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, the Phillipine Liberation Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
