Born in the village of Biskupice, town of Hrotovice, county of Znojmo, Moravia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). ______________ Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), December 10, 1925, p. 4, col. 4 BRUNO ITEMS The funeral of Mr. Frank Stava took place on Monday morning at ten o'clock, from the home to St. Anthony's church, Rev. Father Bauer saying the requiem mass and conducting the funeral service. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Stava was 78 years of age at the time of his death and had been in poor health for several years, being confined to his bed the past year. He quietly passed away in his sleep Saturday evening. He was a tailor by trade, but farmed near Bruno for many years. On retiring from active farm life, he and his wife continued to live on the farm in a home built for their own use. Then for more than twenty years he was sexton of St. Anthony's curch and during that time, no weather was too severely cold, or stormy or wet to keep him from daily waking to town and faithfully and scrupulously discharging the duties connected with the care of the church. The pall bearers were J. F. Stava, Thomas Rerucha, Joseph Novacek, Emil Stava, Joseph Stava and Robert Stava. He is survived by his wife, one son, Anton, of Wahoo and two daughters, Mrs. Chas. J. Coufal of Bruno and Mrs. Leo Polat of Wahoo. All of the children and [ rest of obituary is illegible ].
