Born in Bohemia. Birth year calculated from age at death. Married Frank Juranek on May 30, 1889 in David City, Nebr. by a County Judge. Her obituary indicates she died February 18, 1899 not February 8, the date inscribed on her gravestone. `````````` Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebr.), February 24, 1899, p. 3, col. 3 Mrs. Frank Jurenek, a Bohemian lady who lives across the river in Butler county, died Saturday and was buried Tuesday at Abie. She leaves a husband and six children, the youngest being only fourteen days old. A curious accident happened while one of the neighbors, Jacob Savlick, was in his buggy driving to the funeral. He had been smoking and some fire had evidently dropped from his pipe onto some hay in the bottom of the buggy for the first thing he knew the flames were shooting up so high that he had only time to get out of the buggy himself without being burned. The whole top and the box of the buggy were consumed, leaving only the wheels and other iron works.
