The Victoria Advocate, May 1, 2006: Henry Julius Gelber, 77, of Wharton, died Saturday, April 29, 2006. He was born May 16, 1928 in Wadsworth to the late Julius Paul and Cecilia Frances Krenek Gelber. He was a retired measurement technician for Houston Pipeline Co. and a Catholic. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors: wife, Thelma Kocurek Gelber; daughter, Suzanne Martinez of Wharton; son, Mickey Gelber of Wharton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother, George Gelber. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton.
