GELBER—Graveside services for Cecilia Frances Gelber, 87 of Wharton will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck. Mrs. Gelber was born Dec. 30, 1903, to Joseph and Frances Kocian Krenek in Ammansville, Fayette County, and died June 1, 1991 at the El Campo Nursing Home. She was a longtime resident of Markham and a 15-year resident of Wharton. She married Julius Gelber on June 20, 1920, in Schulenburg. She was also a member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; her son, George Gelber, in 1972; and one granddaughter. Survivors include her son, Henry Gelber of Wharton; a sister, Julia Bollmeyer of La Grange a brother, Steve Krenek of La Grange; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. The Daily Tribune
