From obituaries published in the Galesburg Register-Mail and Peoria Journal-Star on 19 April 1994 - Clifford L "Cliff" Huntley, 95, died at the Marigold Health Care Center (nursing home) at 11:30 p.m. Sunday 17 April 1994. He was born Dec. 3, 1898, in Hanover, Ind., son of Harvey B. and Lily Taylor Huntley. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mrs. Maxine Ricketts of Monmouth and 2 grandsons. He was preceded in death by sons Harwill and Clayton Huntley and four sisters. He worked in manufacturing for many years in Galesburg, Roseville, and Knox County area. He served in the Army in World War I. Member Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 556. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating, Watson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be Thursday 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Rockford. (Note - the Peoria paper also correctly stated he was preceded in death by 4 wives. He was also mentioned as having attended Monmouth College circa 1920 in various Monmouth newspapers.)
