PAVEL-Services were held 9:30 a.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church, Dwight, for Mrs. Anna Pavel, 97, formerly of Dwight, who died Friday at Morys Haven, Columbus. The Rev. Harold Birkel officiated and burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Holesovsky Mortuary. A parish wake was held 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Born Aug. 15, 1875 in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of Philip and Barbara Coufal Novak and was married to Vaclav Pavel Feb. 20, 1895 in Abie. Surviving her are three sons, Joseph of Weston, James of Seward, Frank of David City; a daughter, Mrs. Adolph (Rose) Kobza of David City, 20 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
