Bio

MERRILL, OLIVE--Olive Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Merrill, died at the family home in Geneva at 3 p. m. Saturday, August 16, 1913, aged 11 years, 8 months and 15 days. Olive was taken ill of appendicitis and on August 13, underwent an operation but the disease had progressed too far to be stayed. She was born in Geneva and her whole life was spent here. She is survived by her parents and one sister and seven brothers, Ethel, Hallie, Owen, Wilbur, Vernon, Albert, Lawrence and Mervin. All were present at the funeral except Hallie, who is at Drinkwater, Canada. The funeral took place from the residence at 2:30 p. m. Monday and was conducted by Rev. C. L. Myers. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Business houses were closed during the funeral. The Nebraska Signal August 21, 1913 page 5
