Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), June 6, 1929, p. 1, col. 1 & 2 Albert J. Houska Passed On Dwight, June 4 – Albert J. Houska, respected resident of Dwight vicinity for a number of years, passed away at his home, Wednesday, May 29, after a short illness. He was 44 years and two months old. Funeral services were held at the Dwight Catholic church Friday morning, May 31, at 10 o'clock. The pallbearers were Frank Moravec, Joe Moravec, Ed Moravec, Joe Novak, Sr., Joe Novak, Jr., and R. Kudlacek. The flower bearers, nieces and nephews of Mr. Houska, were Mrs. R. Kudlacek, Mrs. Della Novak, Misses Lucille Houska, Eleanor Houska, Georgia Novak, Millie Novak and Vilma Moravec and Edman Moravec. A very large number of friends attended the funeral and there were many flowers. Mr. Houska was born at Prague, Neb., on March 1, 1885. When he was eight years old he moved with his parents to Dwight, where he resided until his death. He was married to Anna M. Moravec September 29, 1909. To them was born one son, Raphael. Mr. Houska was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Z. C. B. J. lodge. Mr. Houska is survived by one wife, his son, one brother and one sister, to whom the heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended. ___ Card of Thanks – We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks for the assistance rendered us at the time of the sickness and death of our dear husband, father, son and brother.
