The People's Banner (David City, Nebraska) 29 May 1947, Thu Page 4 METHOD FIALA PASSED AWAY Method Fiala, 71, resident of David City the past ten years, passed away at his home on May 13 after an illness of a year. He was born in Moravia and came to America with his parents when three years old, the family locating in Butler country. He was married to Rose Jisa of Wahoo and to them six children, one daughter and five sons, were born. The daughter, Mrs. Albert Cihal, passed away three months ago. The sons are Charles of Valparaiso, Joseph of Rising City, Emil of Foreman, N. Dak., Mike of Dwight and Louis of Lincoln. Mrs. Fiala died 25 years ago, and in 1923 Mr. Fiala was married to Mrs. Rose Burianek. To them one son, Rudolph, was born, who with his mother survives. The family moved to David City from their farm near Dwight. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. May 17 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in Assumption cemetery at Dwight.
