Dorothy Brown, age 87, of Palestine, Texas died August 11, 2012 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Burial in the Neches Cemetery is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. She was born December 25, 1924 in Anderson County to the late, Riley Lee Wedgeworth and Maggie Morrell Wedgeworth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin E. Brown; son, Randy Brown; sister, Geraldine Rogers; and brothers, John W. Wedgeworth, Riley Lee Wedgeworth, Jr., and Doyce E. Wedgeworth. She was a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church. Before retiring she had been employed at the S & H Green Stamp Store and worked for Beall's Department Store for 23 years. Mrs. Brown is survived by daughter, Beverly Van Deman & husband Ron; sons, Garald E. Brown and wife Linda, and Van Brown and wife Patty; sisters, Marie Freeman, and Sue Toups; brother, Jack E. Wedgeworth; grandchildren, Jeffrey Van Deman, Josh Van Deman, Jeremy Van Deman & wife Sherry, Mandy Summers and husband John, Gary Brown and wife Ashley, and Morgan Brown; and great grandchildren, Colby Crowder, Macy Steingrube, Kendall Summers, and Christa Van Deman.
