Bio

Christina F. "Chris" Staab, 85 years, of Cedar Bluffs, NE died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Arbor Manor in Fremont. She was born February 23, 1927 in Wahoo, NE to Ludvik and Bessie (Benal) Wotipka. She grew up on a farm south of Wahoo and then near Colon, NE and later moved to Cedar Bluffs. She was a graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School. Chris married Jim Reznicek on April 7, 1947 at Colon, NE. They later divorced. Chris did housekeeping and was a cook at the Cedar Lakes and the Hub Bar. She also was a nanny and library aide for a time. Chris worked as a cook for the Cedar Bluffs Public School for many years. She married Norman G. Staab on May 3, 1986 at Colon, NE. Norman died June 22, 2008. Chris was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and member of the American Legion Post #158 Auxiliary, both of Cedar Bluffs. She is survived by sons, Larry Reznicek & partner, Cindy Henney of Lincoln, NE, Robert & wife, Peggy Reznicek of LaVista, NE and Dan & wife, Kristi Reznicek of Fremont; daughters, Denise & husband, Harvey Benes of North Platte, NE and Donna & husband, Greg Burmester of Fremont; sisters, Agnes Selfridge of Omaha, Judy Vaca and Marianne & husband, Harvey Callahan all of Cedar Bluffs, NE and Lucille Fujan of Central Point, Oregon; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Rosie Villwok. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs. Father Matthew Vandewalle will officiate. Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs in charge of arrangements. Burial at St Mary's Cemetery west of Cedar Bluffs. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church at Cedar Bluffs.
