Bio
Lucille Ann Fujan, 93 yrs, of Fremont, NE, passed away, April 28, 2024. Lucille was born on April 3, 1931, in Wahoo, NE, to Ludvik and Bessie (Benal) Wotipka. She graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School in 1948. Lucille married Marvin Fujan on April 15, 1953, and they made their home in North Bend, NE. Together they raised five children. She worked as a dental assistant from 1954 until 1956 and at Mutual of Omaha from 1957 until 1960, both in Omaha. She worked at National Gypsum Co. at Mead Ordinance Plant from 1960 until 1962 and Gambles. Lucille worked for Dr. William Walla as a dental assistant in Fremont. The majority of her life, she raised her five children and worked on the family farm. Lucille and Marvin farmed in North Bend for 47 years. Lucille's faith was central to her life and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in North Bend. She was a member of St. Anne's Alter Society in North Bend. During Lucille's later years, she traveled across the world and visited every state in the USA. Her greatest joy was gardening and canning. Lucille loved her flowers and plants and being outdoors. As a farmer's wife, she looked forward to harvest time. Survivors include, daughter, Joyce (Michael) Bowman of Bellevue, NE; sons, Michael (Debbie) Fujan of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas (Tera) Fujan of Shalimar, FL and Randy (Tammy) Fujan of Ames, NE; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren with one expecting; and sister, Marianne Callahan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; daughter, Jill (Michael) Walters and four sisters. The funeral mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 2nd at St. Patrick Catholic Church with a Rosary to be said following the visitation on Thursday. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
