Columbian, The (Vancouver, WA) - Sunday, January 14, 1996 Melvin L. Cremeen A member of Laurelwood Baptist Church, Melvin L. Cremeen, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996, in Clackamas, Ore. A retired electrician, he had formerly been employed at Salem Equipment. Mr. Cremeen, who had lived in Vancouver for the last six years, was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Silver Creek, Neb. He was a chaplain for the Boy Scouts of America. A life member of the NRA, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His son, Arthur, died in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Lenora, at home; a son, Leo of Vancouver; a daughter, Melva Donahe of Camas; two brothers, Clarence of Long Beach, Calif., and Chester of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Corabelle Jedlicka of Schuyler, Neb., Alice San Filippo of Seal Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Camas. Burial will be in Camas Cemetery.
