MISS MINNER IS BRIDE OF SERGEANT CREMEEN On Tuesday afternoon, March 7, in the parsonage of the Christian church in Belleville, Kan. Miss Virginia Mae Minner, daughter of Mrs. E.F. Luther, became the bride of Sgt. Chester Cremeen, son of Chancey Cremeen of Osceola. Rev. W. Roll, pastor, performed the single ring service and heard the marriage vows. They were attended by Miss Gwendolyn Beebe of Columbus, bridesmaid, and Dale McCormick of Silver Creek best man. The bride wore an all-white gown, entrained, which has a full skirt of ninon and a fitted alencon lace waist, featuring a sweetheart neckline. The back buttoned to the waist with small, self covered buttons and the long sleeves came to a point over the wrist. Her six yard veil of imported French lace, which was worn by her mother at her wedding, fell from a fitted cap of sequins and had orange blossom clusters on either side. Her veil was old, her dress new, her earrings were borrowed from her mother, her cameo necklace was a gift from an aunt, Mrs. G.W. Patterson of Ottawa, Ill., and she carried a blue handkerchief. The bride's corsage was of white carnations. Miss Beebe wore a floor-length pink chiffon gown which featured lace panels in the full skirt. The bodice was fitted, the neckline sweetheart style, and her sleeves were short and puffed. Her only ornament was a gold locket and she wore a corsage of pink carnations. The bridegroom wore his dress uniform. the best man had a white carnation boutonniere. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the Belleville hotel for the wedding party and Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Engel, who accompanied them to Kansas. The young couple returned to Columbus the same day and that night at 8:30 o'clock a reception was given in their honor in the Federated church basement with 45 relatives and friends present. When the bridal party entered the room, Mrs. T.W. Haldiman played the wedding march after which Billy Farris gave a reading. Mrs. Earl Gharring of Nelson, aunt of the bride, and Miss Beebe, bridesmaid, sang two selections, "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life" and "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Mrs. Haldiman and Rev. E. G Brinkmeyer delivered a prayer and repeated and discussed marriage vows. Mrs. Cremeen was graduated from the Silver Creek high school in 1938 and is a saleswoman at the Montgomery Ward store, a position she will retain. Sergeant Cremeen was graduated from Silver Creek high school in 1939 and was employed at the Glenn L. Martin Nebraska company in Omaha before entering the army air corps on Sept. 5, 1942. He is from Hunter field, Georgia, is an engineer and gunner, and he returned to his post Friday. Present here at the reception were Mrs. Gharring of Nelson, Mrs. August Luther and daughter, Twilla, of Fremont, Chancey Cremeen and daughter, Alice, of Osceola, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Emmons of Osceola, Jamie Logan, Dale McCormick, and Opal Madison, all of Silver Creek, and Mrs. Dale Whited of Norfolk--Columbus Daily Telegram.
