Source unknown (most likely Montgomery Messenger) Published 1994 Lorraine Novotny, 72, of rural Le Center, died in Montgomery Sunday, April 17, of cancer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, beginning at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with Rev. Koschade officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Le Center Funeral Home. Visitation was also held Wednesday, April 20, from 3-9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joe Prchal, Evelyn Duban, Charlie and Richard Fierst, and Gerald and Dan Prchal. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, David, Steven, and Julie Novotny; Lisa, Patty, and Jenny Deutsch; and Stacy, Paula, Tonya, Michael, Rebecca, Rachel, and Russel Novotny. Lorraine Janovsky was born to Louis J. and Mary (Slavik) Janovsky August 11, 1921, in Le Sueur County. She lived in rural Le Center. She attended rural elementary school and was a homemaker and farmed. She was married September 14, 1943, in Le Center to Milton Novotny. She was active in the Women of the Church. She is survived by her husband Milton: four sons, Gary Novotny and his wife Marilyn of Le Center, Marvin Novotny and his wife Kathy of Le Center, Gordon Novotny of the Philippines, and Dale Novotny and his wife Kathleen of Plymouth; two daughters, Joni Keogh of Montgomery and Gail Deutsch and her husband Francis of Prior Lake; and 13 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Blanche Prchal, who died in March 1994.
