Source Unknown (most likely Montgomery Messenger) Mary A. Janovsky, 91, of Montgomery, died Thursday, Jan. 7, at Central Health Care Center in Le Center. Mary Janovsky was born April 29, 1901, in Erin Township to Joseph and Anna (Polak) Slavik. She lived in Montgomery and then moved to Central Health Care in April 1988. She attended rural elementary school and married Louis J. Janovsky May 25, 1920, at Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, who died December 29, 1968; her parents; one sister, Agnes Zoubek and four brothers, Frank, James, Thomas, and Joseph Slavik. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery with Rev. George Grafsky officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery. Visitation was at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery from 3-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10. The CCW rosary was recited at 4:15 p.m.
