Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Friday, 17 December 1909, page 1 Death of Alice McClellan [sic] Alda, Dec. 17 - Alice, the twelve year old daughter of William McClellan, residing six miles west of Grand Island, died this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. The young girl had been suffering with some trouble with her ear which finally settled in her throat and caused death. Relatives have been sent for and the hour of the funeral will be announced later. The deceased had several brothers and sisters, besides the father to mourn her loss. The mother died some two or three years ago.
