Bio

Ila was the daughter of William and Alice Young. She graduated as Salutatorian from Forsan High School and married Darwin (Bud) Smith, a marriage of 54 years. Ila was an Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked in both Hico and Stephenville. She was a member of the Garden Club and played Bridge avidly. Ila was a member of the Church of Christ. She was the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of five grandsons and one granddaughter. A song that her mother sang to her was "Sweet Bird" and as we all said goodbye to her, we said, "Goodbye Sweet Bird".
