Bio

According to my records, Elizabeth was born Oct. 18, 1818 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia to Josiah and Lettice (Mayes) Bays. She married Josiah Cyrus Bays on Oct. 15, 1835 in Greene Co., Indiana. They were the parents of Lucy, Milly, Arnilla Hester, Josiah C Jr, Mary Letta, Jarvis J, William J, James J, John H, Rachel K, Alfred C, Davis and Wiley. ------------ NOTE headstone birth 1800 appears to be in error. Per family history, birth was in 1818. Note the 11 year gap between 1800 and sister Amelia's birth in 1811.
