Mr. Bouton was one of the well known farmers of this vicinity. NORFOLK DAILY NEWS; Norfolk, Nebraska; Saturday, May 5, 1923 page 2 Funeral Record Samuel L. Bouton Funeral services for Samuel L. Bouton were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, following short services at the farm home seven miles west of Norfolk, Dr. A. O. Hinson officiating. A. A. Chambers, Gale Elliott, Mrs. R. L. Fishback and Mrs. Frankie Apfel sang a quartet. Pallbearers were: E. J. Bauman, William Waud, Len Low, S. H. Raymond, Ed. Funk and John Kost. Mr. Bouton was born in Dakota county, Nebraska, Aug. 27, 1866, and died Thursday morning, April 25, at his home, at the age of 56 years. He was married Oct. 29, 1890, to Alice E. Hoover. To them four children were born, all of whom, with the widow, survive. They are: Mrs. Lee Jenkins, Lindsay; Mrs. Lawrence Mihills, Lloyd H. Bouton and Mrs. Robert Atwood, all of Norfolk. Others who survive are two sisters, Mrs. A. O. Sides of Dakota City, and Mrs. Grace Duncan of Dayton, Wash., a brother, William Bouton, Raymond, S. D., and twelve grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Bouton moved to their farm near here from Dakota county, in 1910, and a little over a year ago moved to the city, but returned to their farm home this spring.
