Funeral services for William Coats, age 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Emory City Cemetery. Mr. Coats passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Frisco. He was born June 21, 1923 in Emory to Bud and Jimmie McCleod Coats. Alex was a self-employed mechanic. He married Virginia Rosalie McDaniel on June 21, 1950, in Santa Fe, NM. Survivors include: wife; sons, George W. Coats of McKinney, and Steve Coats and wife, Julie, of Frisco; grandchildren, Blake William Coats, Brooke Coats, Kristin Coats, Ashley Coats, and Amber Coats; great-grandchildren, Mitsui, Arika, Shelby; numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by: parents; two brothers, George Coats and Steve Coats. Arrangements are with Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
