Trotter, 65-year-old former teacher and principal in the Greenville Independent School District and principal of Fannindel Elementary School here, died at 9 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church in Greenville with the Rev. Jim Gatlin and the Rev. McClain Smith and Dr. Harrison Baker officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews-Peters. Mr. Trotter was born on March 1, 1906, in Hunt County, son of G.C. (sic) and Sarah Ester Rambo Trotter. He married Helen Margaret Moore on May 17,1937 and she preceded him in death in 1956. On July 7, 1958, he married Glady (sic) Roark. Mr. Trotter was a teacher and principal of Lamar Elementary School in the Greenville schools for 25 years before moving to Ladonia. He was a member of Ladonia Methodist Church and served on the official board of the congregation. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Trotter of Ladonia; three daughters, Mrs. Della Lou St. Clair of Tulsa, Mrs. Linda Hutchinson of Dallas and Mrs. Wanda Montgomery of Greenville; a son, Raymond Trotter Jr. of Dayton; a stepson, Johnny Roark of Houston; seven sisters, Mrs. Daphine Green, Mrs. Lottie Wacasey, Mrs. Mattie Lou Richards, Mrs. Eunice Green and Mrs. Frances Ellis, all of Dallas, Mrs. Mildred Williams of Bryan and Mrs. Bernice Pickham of Scroggins; two brothers, Garland Trotter and Charles Trotter, both of Greenville. The Fannindel School will be closed Monday due to the death of Mr. Trotter.
