Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Central Christian church. Because of the lateness of the hour no further information was available. CECIL HOLBROOK Mrs. Cecil Holbrook, 33, prominent Greenville young woman, passed away at her home, 2315 Crockett street. Death followed an illness of several months duration. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Central Christian church, conducted by Rev. Marshall Masters, of Fort Worth, assisted by Rev. Nimmo Goldston, of this city, and Rev. Robert Ridley, of McKinney. Burial will take place in Forest Park cemetery. Pallbearers will include five brothers-in-law of Mrs. Holbrook: G.F. Davenport, E.L. Wacasey, Melvil Lowery, W.N. Richards and G.C. Ferguson; and Raymond Green. Pearl Trotter was born on April 17, 1908, at Kingston, the daughter of Mrs. G.G. Trotter and the late G.G. Trotter. She was reared north of Greenville and attended the White Rock public schools. On February 14, 1932 she was married to Cecil Holbrook in Greenville and she had since made her home in this city. In early life she professed Christianity and 5 years ago placed her membership with the Central Christian church here. She was a young woman of noble Christian character and was prominent in religious activities of her community until her health began to fail several months ago. She was a devoted wife, daughter and sister and found much happiness in her association with her loved ones and friends. She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. G.G. Trotter, of Greenville; and the following brothers and sisters, Garland Trotter, Raymond Trotter and Charles Trotter, Greenville; Mrs. Daphine Green, Celeste; Mrs. G.F. Davenport, Lone Oak; Mrs. E.L. Wacasey, Paris; Mrs. W.N. Richards, Dallas, Mrs. G.C. Ferguson, Dallas; Mrs. Melvil Lowery, Celeste, and Miss Eunice Trotter, of Celeste. The last rites were observed at the Central Christian church, with the pastor, Rev. Nimmo Goldston and Rev. Robert Ridley of McKinney, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park cemeter (sic). Pallbearers included five brothers-in-law of Mrs. Holbrook, G.F. Davenport, E.L. Wascasey (sic), Melvill Lowery, W.N. Richard (sic) and G.C. Ferguson, and Raymond Green. Mrs. Holbrook, who was Miss Pearl Trotter, before her marriage, was a native of Hunt-co, and was born at Kingston, north of Greenville, on April 17, 1908. She was the daughter of Mrs. G.G. Trotter and the late G.G. Trotter, pioneers of this section. Reared north of Greenville, she attended the school at White Rock, and was one of the most popular young citizens of that community. She was married to Cecil Holbrook on February 14, 1932 in this city, and had since made her home here. She counted her friends by her acquaintances and today there were many to join the bereaved relatives in mourning her passing. Mrs. Holbrook embraced the teachings of Christianity at an early age, and five years ago placed her membership with the Central Christian church here. Until her health began to fail several months ago she was quite active in church work, was a regular attendant at the services of her church and at all times manifested a keen interest in its programs. A devoted wife, daughter and sister, and a loyal friend, Mrs. Holbrook contributed much to the happiness of her loved ones. She was possessed of a pleasant disposition and those who knew her were today lauding her for numerous fine traits. Mrs. Holbrook is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. G.G. Trotter of Greenville, and these brothers and sisters: Garland Trotter, Raymond Trotter and Charles Trotter, Greenville; Mrs. Daphne Green, Celeste; Mrs. G.F. Davenport, Lone Oak; Mrs. E.L. Wacasey, Paris; Mrs. W.N. Richards, Dallas; Mrs. G.C. Ferguson, Dallas; Mrs. Melvill Lowery, Celeste, and Miss Eunice Trotter, Celeste.
