The Bonham Daily Favorite Honey Grove (Spl) Nov. 1, 1959 Pg. 2 James Albert [sic: Elbert] Lacy of Ladonia died at his home in Ladonia at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 1959, after a month and a half of illness. Mr. Lacy was born Aug. 18, 1899, at Celeste, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John L. Lacy. He was married to Miss Helen Rogers on March 5, 1931. He is survived by his wife of the home and three sons, Roy Lacy and Glenn Lacy of the U. S. Navy, and Everett Lee Lacy of Ladonia; two daughters, Miss Martha L. Lacy and Miss Melba Joyce Lacy of Ladonia; two brothers, Jay Lacy of Denison and Fred Lacy of Fort Smith, Ark., and three sisters, Mrs. Madge Kilman of Borger, Mrs. Myrtle Wigley of Gober and Mrs. Lucille Walden of Denison. The Rev. T. J. Watts, Baptist pastor, will officiate at the 2:30 p.m. services Sunday afternoon in West Funeral chapel in Honey Grove. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Smith, Edsel Carder, Luther Issacs, Buddy Easton, Alvin Bramlett and Robert Wishard. OBIT provided by Veterans Researcher
