There are several spellings of Maria Catherine Holscher's maiden name, which include Daldrup, Dahldrup, Dahlerup, Daldrop, Daldrop, etc. There is a memorial for Anton Hoelscher, Sr. at the grave of his wife at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Frelsburg, Colorado County, Texas, which is a memorial stone placed there in his memory by the Hoelscher / Buxkemper family. Anton Hoelscher, Sr. died while the family was living near Ellinger, Fayette County, Texas, actually Ross Prairie. Anton Hoelscher, Sr. was buried near there, but there are no records of his death and burial. There is a Historical Marker marking the Gravesite of Anton Hoelscher Sr. (GPS 29.851156, -96.678233) at Ross Prairie. His grave is on private land.
