Bio
Robert and his parents, came to America when he was 10 years old. He was a farmer and drilled water wells with his brother, Charlie Loerwald. They were in the water well business for a number of years. In 1942, Robert applied for employment and was hired to work at the PX at Camp Howze in Texas. While he was working there it was learned that he could speak German. He was then asked to serve as an interpreter for the German prisoners. He married Cecilia S. Mosman about 1905 in Cooke County, Texas and had these children: Mary C. b. 1906 Louise M. b. 1908 Edelfied 'Allie' b 1911 Frank b. 1913 Fredrick b. 1915 Alvin b. 1918 Walter b. 1922 [The above information is from J Vogel (#46975003)] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wife's name was Mary Caecilia Mosman but she went by her middle name - Caecilia.
