Bio
He married Mary Jane Castor 27 Oct 1900. It was December 22,1934, while he was on duty when he notice the tram used to connect box cars with the loading platform had fallen to the ground. He stooped over to pick it up and his pistol fell from the hoister and was discharged. The bullet struck him in the lower abdomen. He lived a few days but was critically injured. He died a few days later in the hospital on Jan. 9 ,1935. Gainesville Weekly Register Gainesville, TX Thursday, January 17, 1935 FRANK LOERWALD Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dallas for FRANK LOWEWALD, Jr., 59, of 5719 Marquita ST., who died Wednesday at St. Paul hospital of a bullet wound received Dec. 22 when his pistol was accidentally discharged. Rev. Father Diamond officiated and burial was at Calvary Hill cemetery. People from Gainesville, Lindsay, and Muenster attended the funeral for Mr. Loerwald, formerly of the Lindsay community where his father, brothers and sister still live. He is survived by his widow; three sons, JOHN, LEONARD and RICHARD; three daughters MARIE LOUISE, MARTHA LEE and VIRGINIA, of Dallas; his father FRANK LOERWALD Sr. of Lindsay; four brothers, JOE of Hereford, CHARLES
