Frank Clarence Davis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Davis, was born April 21, 1895 at Orleans, Nebraska and passed away November 17, 1960 at North Platte, Nebraska. He spent most of his lifetime in the Alma and Holdrege communities. He was a retired meat cutter, a Veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion and the Christian Church. Those surviving are: one son, Sherman, U.S. Navy, Corpus Christi, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Swanson, Holdrege, Nebr., Mrs. Betty Meyer, Stanton, Ill., Mrs. Bonnie Thornburg and Mrs. Eloise Halligan, both of North Platte, Nebr.; two brothers, Arnold of Hot Springs, S.D., and Charles of Alma, Nebr.; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Calkins, Alma, Nebr., Mrs. Mayme Strayer, McCook, Nebr., Mrs. Nellie Henderson, Silvis, Ill., and Mrs. Sadie Longsine, Lexington, Nebr.; 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian Church in Alma with Rev. Francis E. Houchen officiating. Interment was in the Alma Cemetery with full military rites.
