Bio

Annetta, daughter of Arthur and Anna Davis was born August 4, 1890 at Geneva, Nebraska and departed this life January 19, 1958 at the Alma Memorial Hospital, Alma, Nebraska at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Earl M. Neubauer November 22, 1906 at Orleans, Nebraska. To this union was blessed one son, Max and one adopted daughter, Mildred. Two grandsons, Carl and Dennis have made their home with their grandparents since they were babies. After their marriage they lived in Orleans for three years and then moved to the home farm, which Earl's father had homesteaded in 1872. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother. Those she leaves to mourn her passing are her husband, Earl of Orleans, her daughter, Mildred of Orleans, one son, Max of Orleans and one daughter-in-law, Evelyn. Also five grandsons and one granddaughter; four sisters and three brothers: Mayme Strayer of McCook, Nebraska; Sadie Longsine of Lexington, Nebraska; Nellie Henderson of Silvis, Illinois; Charles A. Davis of Alma, Nebr.; Frank C. Davis of North Platte, Nebr.; Arnold C. Davis of Fort Mead, South Dakota and Addie Calkins of Alma, Nebr.; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the First Presbyterian Church, Orleans, Nebr., January 22, 1958. Rev. Aaron Jaeger officiating. Music was furnished by Doyle and Betty Miller and Nancy Mitchell. Pallbearers were Tom Oldham, Harvey Rawson, Leo Mintzmyer, Henry Beck, Burl Kuhl and Hubert Lennemann. Interment was made in the Orleans Cemetery. Mitchell Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Out of town relatives attending were Rex Neubauer, Liberal, Kansas.; Frank C. Davis, North Platte, Nebr.; Mrs. Mayme Strayer, McCook, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Longsine, Lexington, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neubauer, McCook, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Strayer, McCook, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Swanson, Holdrege, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Childress, Lexington, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Don Calkins, Alma, Nebr.; Mrs. Ed Thornburg, North Platte, Nebr.; Wesley Halligan, North Platte, Nebr.; Mrs. Mitchel Richman, Mrs. Nina Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Calkins of Alma, Nebr.; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Longsine and Terri of Stamford, Nebraska.
