Jeffres, aged 37 years and 26 days. Myra A. Harlow was born in Macon county, Missouri, a few moments before midnight of December 31, 1869,(sic) and she died a few moments before midnight on the above given date. Coming to Nebraska with her parents, on the 1st day of January, 1885, she was married in this county to John O. Jeffres, who, with 10 children - 8 boy and 2 girls (2 children having passed into the great beyond) - survive her - one being a babe born as the mother's life left its earthly tenement. Mrs. Jeffres was highly esteemed by all who knew her and her death is not only a sad blow to her husband and children but to the community, and the heartfelt sympathy of all will go out to the bereaved family. She was a member of Sharon Court No. 27, Tribe of Ben Hur, and carried a policy of $1,700 made in favor of her husband. The local court had charge of the funeral services, held at Scotia Wednesday afternoon, and were assisted by members of the Scotia Court, and the body laid beside two obildren, who had preceded her, in the Mount Hope Cemetery. In behalf of Brother Jefires(sic) we extend thanks to his neighbors and friedns(sic) for the kindness shown him during the illness and buriel(sic) of his beloved wife; also to the members of Scotia Court, T. B. H., for their attendance at the funeral, and especially to those members who were so thoughtful as to provide hot coffee for the funeral party.
