Bio
A memorial Mass will be celebrated for Victor Swinnen at 4 pm, Friday, June 8, 2012 in the Chapel at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, with Fr. Chris Nayak officiating. Victor, 56, passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Cabrini Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy V. Swinnen and Aline Swinnen Leistman; step-father Norman G. Leistman; sister, Pamela Swinnen Haven; and brother, Tommy Swinnen. Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and cherished companion, Tim Murray; brothers James Swinnen (Daria) and Gary Swinnen (Donna); sister, Susan Swinnen Fredieu (Hillman); sister-in-law, Jane Garcia Swinnen; step-brother, George Leistman; step-sisters, Vicki Bucci and Lynn McCloskey; beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, countless friends, and his co-workers. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Huey P. Long Hospital and Cabrini Hospital who treated, cared for, and comforted Victor.
